New Photos

I stumbled across this amazing photographer. Her photos although seemingly quiet gentile and accidental, really struck something very tragic and beautiful at once. See link to article:

Maybe next year...

It was my birthday recently and secretly I wished for a pair of these:
That pained look on there faces can surely only be from pure joy and excitement, right?

People are incredibly literal sometimes in how they view you. You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding. The second you dye your hair blond and get a spray tan, people treat you as if you’re a bit stupider and happier.

Seonna Hong is an illustrator animator and artist. I love her beautifully sad paintings:

Everybody loves animation!

Especially the ones that shows a great deal of man hours and craft have gone into them And here are some beautiful ones as music videos for the band Fleet Foxes also a new find for me and a new favourite:

Good cover songs

They dont always work out but here is a beautiful one.

    How to kill sales...

At least they are using a Macbook Pro!

    How to waste time.

I have an inner battle on a regular basis on whether wasting time/doing nothing productive is a good idea.

I quite often suddenly get really angry with myself that I am playing a computer game for too long or watching bullshit TV.

I doubt I will get over this ridiculous torment, but for the argument FOR time-wasting here is a lovely website which is purely for staring at and monging out. Unless you are a computer games designer of course, then it's research!

Day in the life of a paparazzi

found this video when trying to find Lily Allens latest video. Starts off looking like another embarrassing moment for a celebrity but I actually found the relationship she has with the photographers to be surprising, them giving her money for her parking meter etc.

I totally do not condone the crazy stalking of celebrities nor do I care about where they recently went shopping but as the photographers seem to be the conduit between the celebrity and the civilian its quite nice to see that human kindness does prevail if for a moment.

This one is for you Ted!

I lost weight on the 011010010 plan!

So today was the first day that I got off my arse after a very long time and did some exercise. I have been buying things over the past month or so to help me get the motivation as my fear of wasting money is obviously a bigger driving force than a fear of being unfit.

I finally went for it today and put on my "dry fit" socks, my reebok running shoes, my iPod Nano with Nike + technology, my Nike + sensor into my shoe and Sony sports headphones, along with some pumping dance tracks to keep me going and after some warm up exercises (2minutes) I finally opened the door.

The fact that I could hit the centre button on my iPod and know what distance and time I had been running without looking at my iPod was actually very encouraging as I had done a kilometer apparently in about 6 minutes. I really believed it would take me about a week to do that! (I must still be on imperial measurement in my head). See the chart that shows my run once I connected my iPod and downloaded the data to the NikePlus.com website, the next year ahead seems like a long one!

Anyway after 50 situps, 100 leg raises and 13.5 minutes running I resembled a super ripe tomato but felt pretty good for it and that burn in my chest where my lung muscles are can only be a good sign.

Will definitely try to keep up the motivation but the gadgets helped me for sure!

"No point watching your weighing scales just concentrate on your fitness and the rest will follow"
... that's what my kung Fu teacher told me many years ago, and thats what I'm sticking to!

    Proof at last!

My Driving instructor (who insidentally also read tarot cards) agreed with me when I explained that the reason I was so good at steering was because I played so many Racing car video games growing up. Always knew it was good for me!
